Supported Employment

The Supported Employment Program is designed to assist individuals with challenges in obtaining and maintaining integrated, competitive employment within the community.  OSI has helped link individuals with employment opportunities in many area businesses.  Job placements are pursued based on each individual’s interests and personal employment objectives.

Job coaches support individuals through the job search, interviewing, and hiring process.  Once job placement has been established, a job coach will then provide support to the new hire and employer during the first 90 days of employment.  Some individuals may qualify for continued support services after the 90 days to help them maintain their employment.
Services under this program may include:
  • Job Development
  • Job Search Assistance
  • Application & Resume Writing Assistance
  • Interviewing Techniques & Preparation
  • On-The-Job Support
  • Follow-Up Services

Job placement and support programs are funded by the state through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation and Franklin/Fulton “MH/IDD”.
