SITES Program

Supporting
Individuals
Transitioning to
Employment
Success

The SITES program provides individuals who have mental health challenges with more intensive guidance and support on targeted employment issues than is available through other programs. Each participant actively contributes to shaping his or her own programming within SITES by setting individualized employment goals and program activities. The program serves to bridge gaps between mental health case management and other OSI programs, such as Vocational Rehabilitation, Community Participation Support, and Extended Employment Services by providing individuals with another “stepping stone” toward successful competitive employment within the community.

Participants choose activities that support achievement of their goals from the following content areas:

• Career and labor market exploration activities

• Barrier identification and problem solving

• Interpersonal interaction and communication exercises to practice skills

• Topical classes that enhance potential for success in employment

• Supplemental activities in the community to build employment readiness and job search skills

• Presentations by representatives from other agencies addressing topics such as the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), benefits counseling, or other available support services based on client needs and interests.

SITES is funded by Franklin-Fulton MH program.
