Occupational Services, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization serving individuals with intellectual, developmental, and mental health challenges in vocational training and placement programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. Associates degree preferred. Must possess valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to drive all vehicles operated by OSI. Good driving record required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Team Member will work closely together with other team members to ensure accurate, on-time delivery of completed goods for OSI customers. The team member will insure continuous flow of productivity by performing production and material flow as assigned. It will be necessary for the team member to be able to read and follow directions, understand simple drawings, organize work, and deliver products at quality levels communicated by OSI customers. Work activities vary greatly for this position.

Supervise and instruct assigned clients regarding the correct, timely and safe completion of assigned work. Ensure that the work center is safe, clean and orderly.

Complete accurate work counts and times, and document this information to assure client wages for work completed is accurate.

Provide hands on support with production work as needed in order to ensure completion of orders.

Provide work training to clients concerning subcontract work, as well during periods of downtime using sample work and skill builder activities. Ensure that work is distributed evenly and fairly to clients, with consideration given to individual capabilities. Be aware of client needs, and assist as appropriate.

Complete and submit required documentation electronically including attendance and work completed.

Complete necessary paper work for production purposes such as inventory tags and order forms. Comply with other work related duties as directed.

Monitor production equipment, supplies, and materials, advising manager of needs.

Perform safety inspections of facility and equipment. Conduct fire/emergency drills.

Operate assigned vehicles to transport personnel and/or materials in which OSI conducts operations or requires vehicle operations.

Perform maintenance on equipment as needed, including preventative maintenance schedules. Assist with building maintenance duties.

Must be capable of attending and completing an OSHA-compliant powered industrial truck training program either given by OSI or by third party.

Must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity with respect to safely operating forklift and company vehicles.

Must possess a reasonable level of reading, writing and comprehension skills to complete required tasks on a daily basis.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 – $17.00 per hour
